Tell me. How is your sketch book looking? If you are not working on an animation project, don't let your skills get dull, get out your sketch book and draw your ideas, practice your life drawing. Here is a sketch book that features some names you may have come across researching concept artists in your animation studies: BenoƮt Le Pennec (Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron), Bill Plympton (Idiots and Angels), Lou Romano (The Incredibles), Chris Appelhans (Monster House), you can check out the rest...

Cool stuff. A book of finished pieces is not a sketchbook in my definition, even if they are done in pencil.

Too true Kristi. I thought Ian might pipe up about 'animation drawing' and illustration. And how he tried to scribble the illustration tendencies out of us as student animators. I guess an animators sketch book would look a lot rougher. Mine certainly does.
